FUNDRAISING FOR THE BAND PROGRAM
Fundraising has become more important than ever to the success of the Soddy Daisy High School Band. State funds simply do not cover the needs of the band. For the band and the individual students to continue to perform at the high level we desire, we must raise funds to subsidize the band. Every dollar we raise through our fundraising efforts is one less dollar that we, as parents, have to provide so that our students receive the best musical instruction possible. We can not take fundraising lightly. The future of the music program at Soddy Daisy High School depends on it.

FUNDRAISING FOR STUDENT ACCOUNTS
While we wish that Band could be a 'free' experience, the reality is that it costs money to run a quality band program. In an effort to help parents/students pay their band fees, the Band Boosters provide opportunities for earning money for student accounts.
PARKING AT FINLEY STADIUM
Frank Burke and Finley Stadium are strong supporters of the SDHS Band Program. During special events, SDHS Band parents and students (who are at least 14 years of age) may earn money for their student accounts by parking at Finley Stadium. Duties include collecting money for parking, guiding cars to available lots, preventing illegal parking in special lots, and providing information services to people attending the event. Robin Harvey is the coordinator for this fundraiser. As events become available, they will be listed on the website.

COFFEE SALE
The Rewired Coffee Company is providing premium flavored coffee as our next fundraisier. The coffee sales for $12/lb and $3 from each sale goes into Student Accounts. The sale begins September.
Coffee comes in the following flavors: House, House Decaf, Great Awake, Classic Vanilla, Hazelnut, and Irish Cream. It can either be pre-ground or in beans. The coffee is not roasted until the order is placed.
After the initial order is placed, the company places the customer's email address in a database. Each month, they email them and ask if they would like to order additional pounds of coffee. Profits from any additional orders go into the Band Operating funds.

ROCK-A-THON
During the school year, the SDHS Band will hold its annual Rock-A-Thon. Students bring their rocking chairs, tvs, computers, music equipment and various comforts from home to the band room to spend the entire night "rocking" in their chairs. Prior to the Rock-A-Thon, students solicit sponsors from family and friends, who pay them an hourly rate to particiate. All funds go into the student accounts. The date of this event will be announced later in the season.
CAR WASHES
At various times throughout the year, the SDHS band will wash cars for a donation to the band. The money earned is split between those band members who participate in the car wash. The money goes directly into student accounts for band fees.
ANNUAL FRUIT/PECAN SALE
Our annual Fruit/Pecan sale generally kicks off in October.
The students can earn money to pay the additional $75.00 fair share payment by participating in the sale. Parents and student volunteers are needed to help sort and divide out the fruit on the designated Saturday in which in fruit is delivered (usually first Saturday in December).
